What is armpit fat

Causes

●  Inherited armpit fat:

During the fetal development, few pairs of mammary glands are developed from the armpit to the groin. However, most of them will be degraded, and only one pair at the breast will remain before the childbirth. It is possible that degradation of gland is not complete before the childbirth, which may lead to the development of armpit fat. Some common areas that develop armpit fat are upper and lower parts of the breasts, abdomen and outer side of thighs.

●  Acquired armpit fat:

The formation of acquired armpit fat is largely determined by overweight, accumulation of fat at the armpit, wearing improper size of bras and wearing non-functional bras such as strapless and half cup bras. Wearing small bras or tight straps will squeeze the fat out of the breast to the armpit, causing the formation of armpit fat.

Symptoms
